Camphor trees have long stood in this land. They are trees that have witnessed human life for decades and centuries, at shrines and at the entrances to villages.
When cut into planks, that time appears in the grain. Swirling burls, variations in color, traces of knots and bark inclusions. The grain is not uniform. But it is precisely this irregularity that represents the years a single tree stood. If you place your hand on it, you might even detect a faint, characteristic camphor scent.
Because of its strong character, it is a wood that demands careful placement. That's why, if you keep surrounding furniture subdued and make this piece the center of your life, the entire room will quietly come together. It blends well with both Japanese modern and spaces with earthen walls or plaster.
A tree that stood for a long time will now once again embrace time as a gathering place for families. This is a piece we want to deliver to those who wish to make such a choice.
Handling Instructions
Wipe daily with a dry cloth. After wiping with a damp cloth, dry it with a dry cloth. Reapply oil when you feel the wood is dry. Depending on usage, once a year is sufficient.
Placing hot items directly on the surface may leave ring marks. Please use a trivet. Avoid locations where air conditioning or heating winds blow directly, and locations exposed to direct sunlight. Rapid drying can cause warping or cracking.
Characteristics of a Single Slab of Wood
As solid wood, the tabletops will expand and contract slightly in width depending on the humidity. While they may shift a few millimeters over the seasons, this will not lead to cracking as the tops are designed to slide on the battens.
Knots, bark inclusions, butterfly keys, and variations in color are records of the wood's growth. We reinforce areas that affect strength, but we cannot make the grain uniform. The actual product may differ in appearance from the photos.
Delivery and installation
Shipping is free throughout Japan, with the exception of some remote islands.
Due to its large size, delivery will be made via a dedicated transport service, which includes installation. Please confirm the width of your搬入経路(entrance, hallway, stairs, elevator, and corners) before placing your order. If you send us a diagram or photos, we can determine whether it will fit.
The delivery date will be arranged upon consultation. We ask that you be present for the delivery.
After your purchase
Since no two solid wood slabs are alike, we generally do not accept returns. That's why we offer free consultations before you make a decision. If you send us photos or a floor plan of your room, we can advise you on how the slab will look once installed and whether it can be delivered.
In the unlikely event of damage during shipping or a defect on our part, please contact us within 7 days of arrival. We will take full responsibility for resolving the issue.

Highlights of this piece
The "ears" are the natural contours of the wood when the tree was standing. We leave these lines intact without cutting or shaping them.
Because it has been dried for several years, there is little movement even across seasons, which prevents warping and cracking.
Oil finish. When you touch it, the warmth of the wood is directly conveyed.
Knots and ingrown bark are left as records of the tree's growth. We only intervene in areas that affect strength.
The legs are slender so as not to detract from the tabletop's appearance, and they provide ample space underneath. Both chairs and legs can easily fit.
When combined with white walls and a natural wood floor, the wood elements stand out slightly more, defining the center of the room.
Size and the space to pull out a chair
It's not about how big it is to put things in,

The tens of centimeters needed to pull out a chair, the width of someone's shoulders passing behind you, the position where the morning light falls. Livability is determined more by the empty space around a table than by the table itself. If you can provide us with blueprints or photos of your room, we can work together to consider that empty space.
